Summary

Trek Remedy with flex spoke rims (WIP).

This is a WIP I did during 2020 (as a birthday present for my dad, his bike), and never got around to improving so posting as-is.

It has “stretched spoke” wheels - which are printed flat (in 2 halves) and then flexed to their width, with an inner “spacer” in the hub. I got inspired by the “Syncros Silverton SL” rims, and it turned out great with very little flex force needed.

Current issues -

Used 12 M2x4 screws, which are a bit finnicky to thread. I wanted to make it use fillament pins.
Suspension sort of works, but not really
The “Joining Pin” for the wheel was too tight to slide fully into the rail in the wheel. I ended up using them for initial alignment and then added superglue. A “snap pin” would probably work better
Front suspension doesnt work

If someone wants to fix these and remix the model (or just take the wheels), let me know, I can provide 2021 Solidworks files, or STEP files.
