I always thought Hasbro did right by Superion, solidly upgrading him in Combiner Wars. Definitely doesn't need a whole new chestplate. But a suggestion inspired me to do a waist plate add-on piece.
This is in two parts for easy color separation. The white insert may fit with just friction alone, depending on your settings. I ended up using glue after painting the edges red.
The finished part should fit reasonably snug into Superion's waist, but there is a little ridge to help hold it in place in the top back edges.
Parts are oriented as I printed them.
