Summary

This is a bracket to mount the hitch end of the 4-pin trailer hitch harness of a Honda Odyssey to a 3rd-party 2" trailer hitch receiver, so it doesn't just dangle off the car. Commercial metal versions of this are available from different manufacturers and are usually 10 to 25 USD or so. The original Honda hitches have a bracket already welded on. However, my Draw-Tite hitch hasn't, and I wanted to make my own.

This bracket goes around the receiver shaft and goes together by sliding the parts into place so the ends on the small side lock, and then the other side takes two 2" 1/4-20 hex bolts plus ideally some washers and locking nuts. The hitch end of the Honda harness has a large case with holes which gets sandwiched in this bracket.

Supports are needed for the gaps in the locking ends, as they allow for assembly even when the available space under the car's bumper is minimal (as with my combination of a Honda Odyssey and a Draw-Tite 76170).

This may work with other (Honda) harnesses as well as long as they have the same end.
