for this build you preferably would want these rods. However it can still be build without them.
-10mm rod:
(goes trough the whole structure of the sword)
-3mm rod:
(goes trough the whole sword twice and trough the cover 4 times these rods are to make it
easier to align and glue parts, it also is optional to put more rods in just the handle this is so
that you can even out the weight distribution a little bit)
To finish the build I used xtc 3d (https://www.smooth-on.com/product-line/xtc-3d/) which helps smooth the blade really fast and easy
for the build I used a special technique to wrap the handle which is used to wrap Japanese katakanas (tsuka ito) here's a tuturiol of a simple way to wrap your grip:
