Summary

Toys for boys. Old boys use computers, small boys need other toys
This is second attempt to build the ship. I was not satisfied with bow shape of previous design
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4902888
Now bow shape is OK for handy size cargo ship with bulbous bow.
Bow section is fitted with anchor chain pipe (hawser), forepeak tank with vents and sounding pipe.
Bow section outfitting - we have some - anchors, anchor lifter(windlass), mooring winches, shackles etc - see remixes of mentioned design.
I also make crossdeck section in 2 options - with crane pedestal and gearless. There is lower stool space where is access to ballast tanks valves used during ballast operations. In gearless option access is from main deck through small manhole, in the other through crane pedestal. Section is fitted with manholes to the holds, ballast tanks vents sounding pipes for ballast and bilges. Bilge sounding pipe should be connected with bilge in midship section through piece of flexible pipe.
Lack outfitting like ladders, doors, manhole covers, vent heads etc, but it comes later (mayby).
Next thing done is midship section with bilge wells. Hold is box shaped, selftrimming with hoppered top. This is used on bulk carriers carrying grain cargo. On loaded voyage because of vessel movement, vibrations etc. grain start fall down, filling every empty place. Level of cargo in the hold can drop down even 2 meters. Hoppered holds forms kind of funnel preventing shifting of the cargo and loosing stability. Ballast tanks are quite realistic with frames. On ships frame spacing is 80-90 cm, here are only few to show how ship is builded.
This section (with crossdeck section) is used in the middle of the ship as hold 2,3,4 (in 5 holds bulkcarrier). Hold 1 and 5 sections have different shapes and will come later. Same with aft section.
Creating these are most time consuming, so please be patient.
Hatches can be fitted with pontoon covers (see first design) or folding (with crane pedestal) or chain/wire pulled covers (only gearless version, because of the space requested for stowing covers in open position). Well, this also will be done later.
So, for now You can not use it as floating toy, but You can show children how ship is build, how to use its equipment etc. Read also explanation for first design

Added .csg files for geared and gearless version (H2-BC, H3,4-GC).
File
.stl for geared version is over 23MB.

Enjoy

it is made in not published version 5 of Template Shapes_Text https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4863092 (CSV code compression)
because for this design I have to create new shapes and make new command module

template code will be included in next database release, but analizing code will be quite challenging.
Code of this design with compression to CSV consist of 200 lines.
With standard OpenScad commands probably 3x more
