This is a flattened version of Toph Beifong's head piece from Avatar the Last Air Bender.
I designed this for a cosplay.
Here the idea was, instead of printing it round, the shape is flattened out and only a few layers thick, so that it still bends easily. In my experience, rounded shapes like this are more prone to breaking and the prints get more inaccurate in proportion to the print height. Also this prints very fast.
There are holes on the sides to attach a rubber string to hold it in shape and on your head.
I printed it using golden filament and glued some green paper to the cutout.
I included the OpenScad file if you want to remix it.
Isn't optimal but works. Happy cosplaying.
