Summary

ABOUT THE DESIGN

This pod is a remix of my own design that is much lighter. The weight is reduced from 4.1g to only 2.4g! A nice side effect is the better ventilation of the VTX. Although I have removed over 40% of the material this new Lite version of the pod is still surprisingly strong. The fin is still quite massive and protects the components underneath.

Key facts:

  • Fits all common 14mm Nano cams (Racer Nano, EOS2, Nano2)
  • 25.5mm M2 mounts for AIO whoop boards

Printing Recommendations:

  • Use only TPU (Sainsmart has worked best for me)
  • Print at 0.1mm layer height and do it slowly (40mm/s max!)
  • You will need supports

RECOMMENDED SETUP

The frame shown in the pictures is my Calimero Toothpick.

The latest & best Toothpick components you might want look into are the following:

Motors:

VTX:

  • Eachine just released a 400mW Nano VTX
  • The original: TBS Nano32
  • I use the HGLRC GTX on most of my builds. It's super cheap and 50mW is enough for most use cases. Mine have all been reliable so far.

AIO Boards: GEPRC, iFlight

Cams: The Runcam Nano is the best option available at the moment.
