This ring was designed to fit snuggly over the lid of flip-top Orajel toothpaste caps in order to provide additional leverage for kids to easily open caps without assistance. I suspect this will also work well for weak, arthritic, and/or hands with limited mobility.
One side is rounded for ergonomics while the other is flat for easy printing and additional grip if necessary, could also useful when using a countertop to pry the lid open.
To apply the ring to the toothpaste lid I slid the grip over the top of the cap into the existing thumb detent then shimmied the thin back over the rear edge. It takes bit of force but isn't too bad. Attempting to remove the cap and sliding the ring on from the bottom creates an issue with the hinges, but may also be possible; your mileage may vary.
