Summary

This is a remix of the Polar BJD with large alterations to make the doll look more like a fairy. The doll is loosely inspired by the Tooth Fairy from the Hellboy movie.

IMPORTANT:

  1. The files for this doll have been scaled down from the Polaris originals so they're 50% of the size. The doll as printed at 100% from these files stands at 14" head to heel. You can print it bigger if you want but it will be much larger than the Polaris doll.
  2. The wings for the doll are printed in 3 pieces. This is to make removing the supports much easier without breaking the wings. You will need to glue the leaf_wing_1 and leaf_wing_2 to the wing_hub print. I used hot glue in the above pictures but this part is really up to you.
  3. The doll's ears are printed separately as they are articulated.
  4. The foot is articulated using a print in place joint. The joint should be movable after printing with a minor application of force.
  5. The arms and legs on this doll are super long. YOU WILL NEED RAFTS.
  6. Doll is held together using 2mm elastic and small metal hooks I made from jewelry wire(see pictures for stringing diagram). You can also just tie/wrap the elastic onto the doll parts without a hook if you're not planning to remove the hands/feet but you will still need something in the head itself to keep the elastic from going down the neck hole.
