Nefertiti Toilet Roll Holder
This is from a 3D Scan of the original bust of Nefertiti (OK, the hat isn't original, obviously, but only because they didn't have "Charmin" toilet paper in ancient Egypt.. Seriously, what else would she have stored under a hat shaped like a roll of toilet paper? I'd be interested to see an X-Ray image of the original Bust... Ya never know... ;) )
This is a BIG print. Only for the most ambitious! I mean, it's an easy print, it's just BIG... a little over 24 hours (It takes about "a Quarter of a roll" of filament).
Sorry, no way around it. :)
You can scale down the size a bit if you're using Human-Sized toilet paper (approximately 100-105mm Diameter) instead of using Charmin Ultra Mega-Rolls (approximately 115mm Diameter).
I optimized it for "Printing Time" as much as I could without altering the bust. To avoid "complicated" supports, the broken Cobra that is on the front of Nefertiti's hat prints separately and slides into a mating socket on the front of her forehead... I've also added a second cobra emblem that has been repaired to reflect what it looked like before it was broken... take your pick.
I shaved the Height down some, because the bottom of the bust was carved to fit into a "body" sculpture, so it isn't flat and therefore wasn't very stable IRL, so I sliced the bottom at the widest part to make it flat and stable. Like I said, it's an actual 3D scan of the original Bust... blame the rock carver ;)
I thought this up while on vacation away from my desktop computer and 3D Printers, so I may optimize it a bit more when we get back home...or not... (I decided not to, it prints very nicely just like it is!)
