The file 'Toilet Roll Holder ‘The Bend’ Cnc/laser 3D Printer Model' is (dxf, pdf, stl, svg) file type, size is 21.3KB.
As a subtle enhancement of my toilet roll holder I came up with this adaptation of the idea of changing the direction of the material like with this Woodini Stool made by Bakery Design.
Because nearly 30 mm of material are pretty hard to cut on a desktop cnc I went with gluing up three layers of 9,6 mm material. I nested the parts exactly with gaps of 3 mm to save some cutting.
The build was done on a desktop cnc-machine from Stepcraft from 9,6 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 3 mm flute. The surface got some clear spray-paint to intensify the wood structure and to make it water-resistant.
The two parts are joined by adding a dowel and a corresponding hole. As it needs to come apart in order to change the roll, I used two magnets to lock them.
