Summary

I wanted a cover for the outlets in my sons room that still allowed the outlet to have things plugged in like his baby monitor and night light. Nothing like this was made nor were there any decent options to purchase for decent prices. Some on Amazon for $10 that aren't nearly as functional as this.

So I created this baby.

First you put the outlet receptacle cover on (NOTE: Not all receptacles will work. Mine has a distance of 10-11mm between the 2 outlets or the part where the screw goes) You can take the STL of the cover and modify it for your needs.

The cover then slides over the receptacle cover and it has holes to allow light out if you have a nightlight plugged in. I noticed my light sensor nightlight is a little dimmer since the housing is reflecting light back into the sensor though, just a note.

Then you install the clip on the bottom to keep prying fingers from pulling the cover off.

I'm using square dimmable LED night lights and a generic power supply for the baby camera. I made the inside big enough to fit these. Distance from receptacle is about 55mm.

Only supports needed are for the cover that slides over for the channels and the holes on the sides. I recommend a support gap of .35 mm from the stock .3mm Cura uses so supports come off easier.

Print all the parts flat.

If your baby is hulk you can drill a hole in the bottom clip and cover and toss in a ziptie for extra security.

Total print time is around 10 hours at 70mm/s
