(Thanks for your design).

Storage tilt bins from jakobdam are nice, but to make them more useful, stackable in more sizes and more convenient to use, I must made few changes:

  • slide rails are calculated with distance that various different sizes of boxes can be connected together without complications. With original design you could connect boxes only vertically without overlap. After my redesign, there are 3 sizes (width 1, 1.5 and 2) and you can connect them in numerous ways, overlapping and combining them horizontally or vertically as you pleased.
  • removed front wall of drawer and redesigned for using transparent piece of perspex up to 3mm thickness, I'm using 2.5mm. Transparent look into each drawer create huge leap forward for usefulness and convenient of using, even it means whole drawer cannot be just printed and you need buy perspex.
  • make boxes and drawers lighter to minimize filament consumption but keep reasonable stiffness and strength. Tilt bin A (smallest one) take only ~85gr of filament (including raft and support). Tilt bin B (medium size) take around 107gr, and biggest one (C) around 130gr. With this step I make this design cheaper, than I would need to pay for set of tilt bins from rackzone. They're great, but making huge array in workshop from them is crazy expensive.

Again - thank you jakobdam fro you initial design, I hope you can find this as useful development of your original idea.

(photos from already printed boxes with connectors inside are from jakobdam version. But I already printed my version of bins and tested, that photo with colorful boxes is about array from final version.
