The file 'Tilt Adapter For Daystar Quark H-alpha Filters 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 874.9KB.
To avoid Newton rIngs while photographing with a Quark h-alpha filter, the camera should be slightly tilted.
The fixed adapter is tilted 2° and works fine with my two astro-cams (colour and mono).
For the clamping of the cam I use M4 screws, the holes in the print has the dimensions for Ruthex short thread inserts.
The print quality was fine with 0,15mm layer.
I made the adjustable tilt adapter to test for the necessary amount of tilting. It was printed as one print without support. Of course there were some errors inside but they broke away and after some movements ist worked ... OK, let me say ;-) It's not good for a long use because the clamping goed directly on the inner ball-segment and will damage it after a while, depending on how hard it is clamped. I printed with 0.1mm layer.
