This was initially developed for CNC milling but then modified for 3D printing. I have to admit that the milled ones do look much nicer, but without a CNC mill in my home shop they can get expensive. If you know a TIE Pilot looking for some new pieces for his or her armor, this may be of use to you.
I had the original file CNC machined and then made the tapered tooth file, so the photo is the original non-tapered gear.
