In general, I use thin bases for monsters and NPC in my games. In addition, I need them slightly smaller in diameter bc sometimes the thickness of the walls doesn't allow me to put a miniature in a thin passage.
I also like this idea bc it allows me to save on material when printing a lot of bases.
Furthermore, I possess an FDM printer, thus it's okay to have thin prints - they won't be distorted.
