This little box is designed to hold two E3D thermocouple amplifier boards ( http://e3d-online.com/External-Thermocouple-Board-v1.0?search=thermocouple )
The two recesses underneath the unit are designed to hold 10 x 2mm rare earth magnets (epoxied in) to mount the box to the steel frame of my printer.
The lid is held in place by screws from the underside - I use the excellent socket head servo screws from ModelFixings ( http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/servo_screws.htm )
v1.01 of the lid is to strengthen the screw hole pillars in case your screws are a tight fit and shear off the others.
