Instructions:
1 Scale the model to 1000%
2 Rotate it so it fits on your printer
3 Make sure it touches the build plate (On the slicer). Otherwise it's gonna get cropped.
This is the plaque from The Wild Robot movie. I skipped some details on the animals because I knew my printer, with a 0.4mm nozzle, wouldn’t be able to print them.
The model has a 1mm thick base, with the design itself at just 0.3mm. Those numbers gave me the best results, as I didn’t want to use too much filament. To make the design stand out, I painted the top part of the model, since in the movie, Roz uses a laser to engrave the wood. If you want to skip the painting step, you can switch the filament to a different color just before the last two or three layers finish.
The "Top" and "Bot" files, are the isolated parts of the model, just in case you want to modify the design or something.
