Today 6th or March the Orthodox church celebrates the discovery of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of Jesus Christ . Legend holds that the sacred relic was found and excavated by St. Helena, mother of Constantine the Great, during her pilgrimage to the Holy Land about 326.
