Summary

This is a complete rework of my previous amino acid kit (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2175399)

These models now use a different type of pin that allows them to fully rotate, but will not fall out after extensive use (though they will loosen up).

I've also included a disulfide model that has print-in-place rotatable bonds to adjust to any needed angle.

These models lack hydrogens (they are implicit). Hydrogens are annoying and significantly complicate printing.

There will likely be at least one more iteration of these models that includes print-in-place rotatable bonds on the side chains.

Recommended scaling is 10X (1000%) or greater.

Added hydrogen bond clips. These are designed for models printed at 10X. They come in three different lengths and will clip on to hydrogen bond donor and acceptor pairs. This can be useful to demonstrate hydrogen bonding in secondary structures and work as struts to keep models together when building a full protein from individual amino acids. It is recommended to print these in PETG or a material that is slightly more flexible than PLA.
