Summary

The Terraforming Mars board game comes with player boards on which you place resource and player cubes. While playing, it is easy to hit these boards or bump the table and you lose track of the position of your cubes. This overlay can be placed on (or glued onto) the player boards to help keep your cubes in the right spots. The big spaces are for resource cubes and the small ones are for the player cubes. An extra spot is available for each set of cubes because it is possible to go above the cube number "10" for example and placing an additional cube in this extra spot denotes you're above the shown value.

As you can see in the images, the cube holders do not exactly align with the printed board. This is a necessity because the printed board has the cubes side by side. For an overlay to work, you really need individual separation, which spreads the cubes apart. The spacing is about as close as I could get the cubes to the original locations while still feeling like the grid was sturdy enough for many uses. If the alignment offset bothers you, you'll really have to ditch the original player board and get a more expensive alternative.
