This is full range reed for Tenor Saxophone Bb with concerto range A2b-E5 (frequency range 104-659 Hz). Proper articulation and embouchure is required to cover the full range, but it is reachable with ease.
Print with as high quality in Z as your printer and heatbed cover allows. I printed reeds with Z-layer 0.04 mm and initial layer 0.12 mm. This provided 3 layers for 0.2 mm tip thickness and smooth surface. The reed shouldn't be sand-papered, since it already has required vamp profile. It may be post-processed with acetone (since this model is for ABS only by design), but I did not try acetoning myself.
Update:

  • 10/21/2017 - added Tenor reed with about 1.75 hardness. You may rate it yourself.
  • 12/06/2017 - added Tenor reed with about 3.5 hardness. At least should be really hard. butt_thickness is increased +0.8mm, tip_thickness is increased +0.08mm in comparison with 2.5 hardness.
  • 12/17/2017 - updated last added reed with 3.5 hardness after test. It should be rated at least 4.5 to my mind, so newer 3.5 hardness shall be softer. Also 3.0 hardness is added.
  • 02/25/2018 - added V2 version reed of 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 hardness. Lowest notes were made less hard, to make all registers more even in hardness. Timbre is improved to be more bright and also close to cane reeds. Enjoy.
  • 03/03/2018 - replaced V2 version reeds of 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 hardness. Latest version was changed to avoid easy overblow in low register and make lowest notes more reliable. Also the reeds become more bright due to this change. Low register is nice with free reed (when mouthpiece is deep inside).
  • 05/13/2018 - added V3 version of reed 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 hardness. High/altissimo registers were made more hard and reliable. Timbre is improved to be more bright.
