Designed by Bramante, the original architect of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, this tiny domed chapel known as the ‘Tempietto’ (Little Temple) was built in 1502 in the cloister of San Pietro in Monterio in Rome to mark what was (mistakenly) believed to be the precise spot where St. Peter was crucified.
The model is 15cm. (6 in.) diameter at the base and 18.5cm. (7.25 in.) high.
