The tellermine 43 was the final version of the German anti-vehicle tellermines. These mines weighted around 20lbs and contained around 12lbs of TNT making them extremely effective against any tank or car that would roll over them.
The mine itself would be detonated when ~300lbs of pressure was applied on the top plate so no amount of infantry could walk over one and set it off.
In addition to exploding when run over, the mine had two fuse wells on the side and bottom of the mine where a pull fuse would be added as an anti-lifting device. Meaning that if any minesweeper found the mine, uncovered it, and attempted to lift it out of the ground, it would detonate in their hands.
The originals would be armed by screwing the pressure fuse into the center well of the body and screwing the mushroom plate over it. The plate would make an audible snap meaning that it was fully secured. This sound was a pin being cut within the fuse that would detonate if the plate were to be removed from an engineer attempted to defuse the mine.
