Front 1-piece arms for the Tamiya GF02 (Squash Van).
The arms that come with the kit are a 2-piece design molded out of a fairly soft nylon. The two pieces are held together with two M3x10 self-tapping screws - which is not the best combination with the soft material for a strong bolted joint. This is likely OK given the application and the short length. However, I remodeled the arms as a single piece.
Ream the hinge pivots with a 3 mm drill. I would recommend using M3 hardware for the shock absorbers. If you do, you'll want to tap the mounting holes with a M3 tap. You may need to do some light filing to the pivot areas to allow for bind free movement.
UPDATE 06/20/24: V1 would work but I made some additional improvements after printing. The biggest update was a radius added to the inner face of the outer caster block area to allow for full suspension travel (along with a slight increase in depth of the pocket). This could likely have been filed out on the V1 but it now should make it require less filing. The rest are minor tweaks: the shock mounting area (reduced diameter of the mounting boss), slight length reduction from pivot to pivot (0.2 mm), and inner hinge pivot area clearance increase to reduce the need for filing.
