Summary

Combined several of my favorite designs and styles to make a 1/14 scale rim that fit the design I wanted for the OSSUM jeep modifications I'm doing. I have not made a beadlock out of it, so they will need to be glued, but the steel rim versions were separated in halves to make for easier printing, and be assembled with a few M2 (or m3) screws.

I can make several offsets for these rims easily. but I included 0 offset, and for the steel style a 2.5mm offset for the Jeep design I intended them for.

these are intended to be used with 1:14th scale Tamiya semi truck tires like can be found here:

  • m.2 nuts didn't QUITE fit comfortably in the steel rim back so I enlarged them slightly. along with the slit for the axle peg.

  • I have printed 4 rims, mounted 4 rims, and can confirm they fit snug with the tires. there was a small amount of prep (typical with home printed objects) to get the screws and nuts to fit but everything tightened down and lined up! I used M.2 screws, but m1.6 may look more accurate.

  • One other note is, although these lock together for easy printing, they are NOT true bead-locks, and the fit is snug enough to be driven around for my scale brushed truck but if you plan to run these on a higher power system I suggest gluing the tires to the rims.
