To create your own desktop CNC router I decided after saw the work liquidhandwash. Just to repeat did not want, so I decided to improve it for yourself.
What was taken as a basis:
-case design
-view electronics
-mounting parts guide

What has been redone
-Changed the dimensions of the housing to increase the amount of processing. Now he is 360х240х40 mm. Also added holes in the handle to conveniently move the machine to another place.
instead of the acrylic housing parts made of 10mm plywood. Plywood is stronger and more available material than acrylic in my opinion.
The bronze nuts were replaced with nylon because annoying squeak when rotating. Also the longer the nuts are allowed to refuse compensating nuts, which facilitated the rotation of the screw
-instead of a DC motor was used Dremel 395 power 125W with a speed of 10000-40000. Because of this increased accuracy of processing of details.
-completely redesigned the electronics housing. Now it is fully printed on a 3D printer. It has all the connectors.
-added control panel on the front panel of the machine on which the e-stop button, pause and start of the work, as well as connector z-probe. thanks Jack it is easy to put the engraving on uneven surfaces.
-added a sacrificial table on the desktop of hardboard, allowing you to cut through the plywood without damaging the Desk of the machine.

It is also planned to add a laser engraving of materials, thereby to obtain a more versatile tool in my workshop.
