The file 'Swiveled Hanger / Hook 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.4MB.
I need a sturdy hanger for my sail boat. When it heels over, I want a hanger that swivels - so things can't fall off the hook. And this is it!
There are three hook sizes; Tall, Grande, Venti. (The photo shows Tall)
There are two bases; one glues on (or 3M tape), one screws on.
Printing is easy, no support or adhesion needed for the hook and bases. I print with triangle infill at 80% on Cura - I wanted this to be strong. For the dowels, I print on a little raft. For my next print of the base, I may set Cura for 50% infill near the bottom, and 100% infill near the top, where the greatest stresses on the part will be.
To glue the base to the inside of the hull of a boat, a nice trick is to put a dollop of epoxy in the middle, a ring of hot glue around the edges, and firmly press the piece against a clean, roughed area of the fiberglass. Make sure to sand the bottom of the base with 60 grit (rough!) sandpaper, and clean. That's my plan anyway.
