The file 'Surface Pro – Charger Cable Storage 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 34.7KB.
This is designed for the standard OEM charger that comes standard with the Surface Pro.
The idea was to have clean storage for the charger cable, while providing protection on the go. I wanted to keep the unit as slim as possible, so it's not so bulky in a slimline carrier. The design also prevents the cable from being kinked where it joins to the unit for better longevity.
Can be used in several different configurations, as per photos
Please leave feedback for any suggestions that could improve this unit
Thank you
Print the housing (10% infill is plenty, but can use more if you feel the need). For Cura users, the best option is to use the experimental "tree support", as this will make removing the supports much easier!, however any supports should work. Layer height of 0.2mm used in photos, adjust for quality
I've attached photo's of tree supports in place to give an idea of how it looks.
Print the cover clip at 100% infill and regular supports touching build plate. This part needs to hold some flex
The unit used in photos was printed at 0.2mm layer height - This can be adjusted for quicker print time or higher quality
