Add a super hero vibe to your next card game with these poker card cappers.
I incorporated some space into each of these designs to leverage ¼" x 1 ¼" fender washers to give each some additional weight. (The washers can be found at most hardware stores or on Amazon here).
All of these designs are prefixed with a v1 or v2. Models prefixed with v1 are designed to be printed with supports. Once printed, remove the support material, and glue a washer in the empty space. I intended for each disc to be printed twice (one for the heads and the other for the tails side of a coin) and then glued together back to back with the washers glued inside.
Models prefixed with v2 were modified so that instead of using supports, the print could be paused mid-way through to add the washer and resume printing.
I also added an optional outer ring that can be printed separately with an inner surface to glue the coin faces and hide the seam. This will add some additional thickness to the model, but also allows for additional colors if desired. Similar to what I stated above, the ring is designed to be printed with supports. Once complete, remove the support material, then glue one face in the top cavity and the other in the bottom. If you decide to use the outer ring, be sure to use the correct one based on v1 or v2 prefix.
All designs can take advantage of a filament switch to facilitate a color change as well.
If you print these I would love to see them. Be sure to post it here and please like the design by clicking the like link above.
Happy printing!
