Summary

Provided here are two tools to aid in the installation of the rear main seal on Subaru EJ25 engine block. Both tools are designed to use the flexplate or flywheel bolts to evenly press the seal into place. PLEASE NOTE my car is a 5sp and as such I have a flywheel. The flexplate bolts might have a different length. The seal should be started by hand and then install the tool to press the seal in slowly (I recommend using 4 bolts in a cross pattern). I also recommend removing the tool at least once to check that the seal is moving smoothly and you are not rolling the lip over.

Version 1 (white): My first attempt. It leaves the seal flush with the ring on the block (which is too shallow in my opinion). It also includes sight windows for the user to check for problems as the seal gets pressed in. It is also a bit harder to print (I needed some support filament which I always hate). As shown it requires spacers as my flywheel bolts were longer than I thought.

Version 2 (red): Added a 1.5mm lip to push the seal in slightly further into the block. Deleted the sight windows to make it easier to print. Removed the need for washers/spacers.
