Street Food Ottawa is all about building a community of die-hard foodies who are fed up with Ottawa bylaws that limit food truck licensing.
More than just hotdog carts and chipwagons, today's street food offers people a variety of gourmet treats, from pulled pork tacos and specialty sausages to creme brulees and custom cupcakes.
Unfortunately, its seems that Ottawa wants its citizens to suffer. Due to rigid city regulations, street food has not gained as much momentum here as it has in the US. It's a crying shame really...
OUR MISSION is to change all of that. We want to bring street food within reach of the average Canadian. This is promising news for anyone who has ever found themselves watching Eat St. at 1 a.m. and wishing they could teleport to the nearest food truck.
