This is my remix of TLang13's Strap Clamp 90 Degree Corners.
I've adopted suggestions made on reddit, as well as some improvements of my own.
- My version is less tall: better sized for 25mm straps (the original fits 30mm straps).
- The arms are 25mm long, with a draw of 2.5º over the last 7mm. It's hard to see even in the closeup photo, but this is to provide some relief - about 0.5mm - at the ends to avoid marking softwood as a result of having a sharp corner there.
- Similarly, the ends of the arms and other edges are radiused, partly to make it easier to print and partly to avoid marking the timber.
- Top and bottom edges are chamfered.
- The bars at the ends which hold the strap in place when loose are thicker and more robust.
- The central "hole" is offset to make the edges less abrupt.
