I always wanted to use a vernier caliper myself. The gear version I used to catch on the Internet is really invisible~ disappointed!

The Internet has inadvertently found a great and simple concept, and the design is not too complicated.

With this concept and the real version of the vernier caliper, it is much easier to design the structure yourself.

The upper part of the M5 screw combines the previous screw research experience. It is really practical to use the thread in 3D printing, and the thread does not need to be trimmed at all.

In order to increase the tightness, I designed a gap-adjustable part in the direction of the two axes, and the tolerance can be fine-tuned without shrinking.

After the actual printing and assembly test, it was found that the good fit is very good, but after all, the PLA feels soft overall (although it has been printed 100%).

The measurement accuracy is 0.5mm, but it is definitely more accurate than taking the steel ruler. It can be said that it is the biggest benefit of the steel ruler.

If you want to measure in fine objects, still buy one~ and better buy a little better,

I personally found the design + implementation and found that a precision and precision vernier caliper is really not easy!

If there is a budget, I will be very willing to buy a better one to use ~
