Summary

REVISION 1 Release 2023-02-16:

Updated because my brother got a new steam deck and found that the original 3 port hub was no longer available.

This dock has been re-designed to use this 4 port USB hub. Can be purchased here:https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09S6HBR8S As with the previous hub, only one port is USB3.0 as denoted by the standard Blue tang inside of the port.

Added features:
-3x wall mounting holes so you can fasten it directly to the drywall.(#4 or M3 fasteners)
-3x Bottom mounting holes to fasten to a surface solidly (#4 or M3 fasteners)
-hole to use a piece of filament to lock the hub into place so it cannot lift out
-square "tray" holes have been opened up so cables can be routed through to keep the look clean.
-zip tie opening added in the "tray" sections to allow cables to be strapped in place, or to be used for fastening the unit to something

Original Post
Custom Steam deck docking station with 3x USB outlets and a HDMI port. Still allows for Charging of the deck. The USB C connector doubles as a light hold down.

Large opening allows the fan inlet to still suck in air from either the front or rear of the docking station

Uses this usb hub from amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08ZS8LBWL Slots nicely into the top and doubles as a lock for the two halves to keep them together.

Alternate USB Hub for ORIGINAL VERSION suggested and used by @zecas here for those in the USA: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y6F74F1

Once you have a place you're happy with it, I'd also recommend using some two sided tape or velcro strips to hold it down.

*****One Month Update****

So it's been a month since I originally created and started testing this unit. It's been fantastic. The SD hasn't had any issues, and it's very secure in place. Having stuck down my dock, my wife and I have been using a pair of wired xbox controllers to couch co-op games. We've never had any issues or concerns with the cables pulling the unit over or off the table it's lived on, and the cables go up and over the unit nicely.

I hope everyone who's downloaded and made this is enjoying it!

I have also included a 3d parasolid model of the original for people to use to make their own versions. Just strip the .txt off of the text file and enjoy
