Summary

This is a minimal, low profile bracket for mounting an external battery pack to the steam deck. It holds on tight and doesn't slide sideways due to locator pins. The cooling ducts are left uncovered for proper airflow.

I use an Anker 525 (PowerCore 20k) battery and have included a mounting bracket to fit that. It is not guaranteed to work with any other brand or model, however the modular system allows other battery mounts to be designed using the same attachment, as well as any other accessories you may want to use. The battery mount .STEP file has been included as a template. I would hope to build up a library of mounting brackets for the most popular battery pack options.

Assembly is easy, just clip the attachment pins into one side and then snap the other side on. This will be a tight fit but shouldn't be impossible.

I have designed and tested this with PETG filament due to the increased toughness and flexibility. However, it will probably also work with PLA.
