Summary

Needed a pen holder on my desk and wanted it to be unnecessarily over the top to prove a point. I took the 3D scan of the Statue of David by fabskill (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:281053). Gave it a base, hollowed it out and cut the top off at an angle so that the print would stay balanced even if it was full of objects.

I've added supports which aren't 100% necessary and might easily break during the print. They do help though, especially with the bottom of the print. I find it looks even better if you treat it with acetone afterwards.

I also anchored it to the desk with blu-tac. This is not necessary but it is quite light so it stops it moving. Print at 100% infill or another high value as it has already been hollowed out. Don't enable vase mode as the bottom will mess up. The supports should just snap off, the internal support is partially removable.

I printed in white to match the desk.
