Last Update 07 MAY 2022
This is a desk lamp I designed to work with the Lithograph Lampshade created by bgilmore007
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5350296
The lamp base is a combination of This lightsaber stand
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5359022
and this Chintala lightsaber
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4129594
Its designed so you can light the base and the saber with led strips. There is room to make a diffuser to go under the cover.
You'll need the following
3 x M3 x 10mm screws for the base
4 x M3 x 6mm to secure the led blade mounts in the blade
1 x 16mm latching pushbutton https://www.adafruit.com/product/4660
1 x Panel Mount 2.1mm DC barrel jack https://www.adafruit.com/product/610
and a lot of LED strips.
The Saber blade takes 1160mm of LEDs
And the base will take over 1600mm
So you'll need approx 2 meters or each color you choose or 3 meters of neopixels should you want to take it to the next level
I challenge everyone out there to up the game and make this have sound and addressable LED's so the base powers up with sound and then the lightsaber ignites.. I just don't have the skills to make the program for that.
UPDATE 07 May 2022
Added a second base version that requires less LED's as well as diffuser files and a clip ring to help hold the LED's in place. Included Updated Fusion file as well.
I printed the diffusers in a clear PETG that gave them a cool silver like effect.. The cone diffuser is designed to just snap into the cone.
