The file 'Standing Seam Roof For Signal Box 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.94 KB.
I wanted a small structure for a yard office in a N Scale yard scene that I'm building. An exact prototype was less necessary than simply a plausible structure. I've like Badgerbreath's models so I decided to use his signal box model.
The roof was a problem. The corrugations did not print well in N Scale, and sthe signal tower that I already had built for the yard had a standing seam roof. So I drew a standing seam roof with the same seam spacing as my tower.
This led me to printing a HO version to check the new roof out. The seams are pretty wide in HO, but I wanted something that would be printable in N.
Photos are here of both the HO and N Scale signal boxes. The HO was printed at .12mm layer with a .4mm nozzle. The N at .08, ans a .3 nozzle, scaled to 54%.
One photo shows the N Scale model with the Tichy (ex-Dimi Trains) tower.
After I took the photos, I noticed that I had glued the HO roof on backwards. Oh well.
