At some point, I purchased a reasonably standard 360W power supply and while the device worked fine, most of the threaded holes in the aluminum enclosure were stripped, right out of the box. One of them even fell out. Also, the panel-mount voltage selection switch was not panel mounted, it was just sitting there loosely near a cutout in the case, supported by nothing more than its soldered leads. And the enclosure was dented.
So instead of returning the thing, I made it better. I replaced the aluminum enclosure with this printed box, which improves the design in several respects, and also serves as a general purpose replacement part. Features:
