The file 'Stackable Jigsaw Puzzle Trays 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 594.9KB.
I love doing puzzles and I also love sorting my pieces by color and shape. I looked and looked, but could not find a jigsaw puzzle tray holder that was functional for me, allows me to add as many layers as I want, and is easy to use!
So, I made one
I had to play a little bit with the printing quality to ensure the trays went into place easily. I did not want them to be too snug because I didn't want the trays to fling apart and pieces to go flying. I mention this because you are best to come up with what works for you. Included is a test print. I suggest printing this and getting the smoothness just as you want it with your slicer before printing the trays
You can obviously print as many trays as you want to stack. There is a lid, but you would only print that once since it is not possible to interlock and stack another tray on top of it. It's the top, why would you?!?! You can of course not print the lid, but then you have an open space that is wasted, unless you want to put pieces in it and just not worry about your cats taking them out (my real-world problems)
I do not suggest print settings because I am not an expert and I do not want someone printing this and then being upset with me because my settings did not work for them. I hope you can understand.
Enjoy a timelapse I have done with a puzzle including a whole bunch of stop motion which starts a bit into the puzzle: https://youtu.be/v_klbA6a7ec?t=546 and note, how much puzzle trays would have helped me :)
