The file 'Stackable And Adjustable Lack Enclosure 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 342.89 KB.
There are allready multiple nice enclosure design, but none fulfilled my need: Having stackable enclosures, so that no element must be placed over or under the enclosure. To place most of the element inside the enclosure, I had to make sure that the faces are as much as possible on the side, maximizing the utile volume. Electronic part like PSU or Rambo can be place on the other face of one of the plate, on the rear or on one side.
To increase the height of the enclosure, I didn't want to have a fully printable enclosure, but to use 2 lack table, one on the top, and one on the bottom, placed upside down. The feet being hollow when cut, a printable element is used to adjust both feet together.
You can mix wood and plexiglass face, the faces being aligned with the enclosure pillars, so that inside side is maximised.
The face support include lockers so that you can easily remove any face. And you can use hinge to ease access for some or all the faces.
Each corner consist of 4 parts, a left thrust, a right thrust, a locker base and a pair of lockers. You simply have to put them between the top plate and the leg and to screw it.
The parts are thin enough to be ABS printed with minimum warping effect.
Several thrust width are provided: 5 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm. But additionnal size can easily be added. The side and size is engraved on the thrust to help assembly.
This thing will be modified as long as I continue to tweak it.
