This simple solution dramatically improves the stability of the Z-axis.
While the stability in the backward direction is almost perfect (thanks to the new diagonal M6 rods), the one in forward direction is just ok, due to the flexibility of the Y-axis rod (by the way, the correct thickness of the Y-axis rod is M10, not M8 as initially indicated in the Reprap project, see http://reprap.org/wiki/Prusa_i3_Build_Manual).
To improve stability in forward direction as well, simply fix the printer to the base with GLUEPADS!
