The original SQ11 Mini DV is a small and easy to handle camera with good video quality. So it is very suitable for use in R/C models.
Unfortunatelly the weight of the front cast metal unit is a minus for use in smaller airplanes or copters, where light components are required.
I decided to replace the metal part with a appropriate 'thing' printed with ABS, the saved weight is about 8,8g - a reduction of the total weight by 45%.
All the other parts can be used unaltered.
Additionally I put some holes to the other sides of the original case to get a better air circulation to enhance the lifetime of the electronic components.
