This is a simple clip with a satisfying springy action...
I made this clip out of curiosity for plastic springs. It works but because of the limitations of plastics, the clamping force is not exceptional and it will go down by maybe a third in the first week. The spring was designed to minimize plastic creep but it will still happen to some degree in the long term.
I made one with PETG carbon fiber and after a week clamping force at the tip was around 210g. I also tried PLA but the result was not as good. I might try ASA and ABS...
I made a smaller model but I wasn't satisfied with the result. A bigger one shouldn't be a problem, doubling the size in all direction with no other changes should increase clamping by a factor of 8.
