Summary

This is a base for Spotify codes or up to 12 mm wide labels.

The procedure I used for the Spotify example. You might find a better way to do it (very likely).

  1. Go to https://www.spotifycodes.com/.
  2. Follow the instructions.
  3. Get the Spotify code as an SVG file.
  4. Load "Spotify Tag - blank 3 mm.stl" in your CAD application of choice. I used TinkerCAD.
  5. Import the Spotify code.
  6. Size the code to fit the tag (12 by 50 by 1 mm).
  7. Make the code a hole. At least I needed to do this as it was negative.
  8. Raise it 2 mm and put it over the tag.
  9. Export to an STL file.
  10. Open your slicer. I used PrusaSlicer.
  11. Set a marker for color change at the first bar layer (not the last base layer). Alternatively carefully paint the bars after printing.
  12. Export G-code and print.
  13. Show everyone your Spotify tag and brag about your exquisite taste in music.

For text labels or when the Spotify code is positive use "Spotify Tag - blank 2 mm.stl" instead.

"Spotify Tag - papasmurph.stl" is my Spotify profile. Feel free to print it if you like progressive rock/metal.
