The file 'Spiral Lamp With RGB LEDs 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.5MB.
I created this lamp to make use of cheap RGB LED strips. The main model has been tailored to fit this Amazon listing. More information about the LEDs, the model, instructions, and pictures can all be found in the appropriate section below. (Before printing anything, please see the instructions!)
Feedback means a lot to me, so if you like the design or make one yourself, please let me know! Happy printing!
EDIT 3/14/2019: There were some concerns about the plastic core overheating from having all the LEDs in a tight area, especially with PLA. I've uploaded modified pieces that allow for a core of 1/4'' (6.35 mm) dowel rods to be used instead. There is also a hole in this cap that lets warm air escape out of the top of this lamp. The lamp shade for this setup has a larger internal diameter, and thus fits more LEDs as well. I have had no problems with this setup overheating. If you want to print the dowel model, print the three pieces marked with "DOWEL" in the title, then print either base plate.
