Summary

(2024 UPDATE: I have completely redesigned the webshooters with accurate hardware in mind, and is now even more accurate than before. I am selling kits on my Etsy page HokiePrinting)

This was a remix of both Kimjoonghohim and JollyRager's (sorry, i tried and failed to link him in my remix list) webshooter files. I went piece by piece from the ground up, using their work as a framework. Also, countless hours of studying screen referenced and the movie props went into getting this to look (i think) arguably one of the most accurate files for this webshooter out there. It's been reworked to be as close to the movie prop as my eye could adjust, with as little need for outside pieces as possible.

I split the entire front section to pieces as per the original, and added 4 joints. This means that, in theory, this webshooter should be able to be put together like the original, and move and function in the same way.

The Cartridges were done from scratch, with them being split into two pieces, allowing them to be attached and detached with magnets. The back was split into a two part frame for ease of printing, with the shooter tube and cartridges being affixed to that. This attached to the front (which i made a separate piece) with custom bars at the bottom, like the original. This will let the front pivot on that bar. Then, I simply went around and added details to all the pieces to make them the best they could be. Both of the curved bars that go around half the arm were redesigned to be more accurate. The plate under the trigger mechanism was redone, given a slight curve, and the hole was made accurate. The trigger itself was also made a wider diameter circle to be more accurate. These are just some changes I made.

The only outside pieces needed to assemble this would be: glue, magnets for the cartridges and their holders, wire for the detailing on the side of the cartridge holders, the black tubing detail that goes into the holes on a lot of pieces, and a few screws to attach the shooter tube to the frame / and the front bar to the custom connector piece. Also, the spring that holds the trigger mechanism in place on the original would be impossible to print, and that is held by two hexagonal screws in the two holes at the front.

Any tips are accepted, and I'll be ordering a print of this soon, in which case I can post a make about how to assemble this. (Also, i did all this in tinker cad, which is a pain to use, so if there are any issues with files, it may be due to that). Any one who makes this, I'd be happy to see it.
