I personally don't like having to wear the ring on any of my fingers or even my thumb as that just is not working out for me. I really like the idea of the controller to be on the bar or the hand grips and so I tried to mount it as is but that also gave me an uncomfortable way of getting to the button. I decided that if it were mounted 90 degrees to the bar/handle it would be the easiest for me to use and that's when I came up with this.
I printed this in TPU so that it would be grippy, with a .6mm nozzle and a .5mm layer height, so this is as rough as it gets and it came out pretty good (it should print even better using a .4 nozzle and a .2mm layer height). I designed it to be printed upside down and not need support but I did print it with tree supports for just the outer part where the velcro goes through. I have not tested it without any supports but I prefer to design things so that they don't need support. I also made it so that the velcro that comes with the ring can be reused as the only additional part and not need anything else.
