Summary

Uploaded a new photo that was shot on 4/5/2020. The adaptor has been installed for 6 years and was printed in PETG. It looks to be a little warped, but not too bad after enduring 3 Indiana and 3 Tennessee summers!

I wanted to install some 6.5" round speakers into the Ford's 6x8 locations and couldn't find a suitable adaptor plate.

The hole is sized for a Goldwood GW-6024 6-1/2" woofer: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=290-351

These woofers have a frequency response of 29 to 4,800Hz, so obviously you will need to substitute a full range speaker or add tweeters.

My truck doesn't have any door location for tweeters, so I'll be installing them either in the upper portion of the door (defrost vent area) with a "waveguide" to direct the sound to the windshield or in pods close to the a-pillar.

I really should have made accomodations for some recessed, captive lock-nuts on the back side of the mount for the speakers. (If the screws loosen too much over time, then I will make the changes.)
